Connor's story
Connor Brunkhorst grew up around homebuilding in Wisconsin — several of his uncles were builders — and it shaped how he sees the trade: as something you do with care, honesty and your own two hands. He worked alongside builders throughout California before founding Horst Construction in June 2022.
He's known for honesty, thoroughness and an easy-going manner, with a heavy emphasis on pre-construction planning — the discipline of getting priorities, selections and costs right before the build starts. It's the single biggest reason his projects stay on scope and his clients stay comfortable.
The name Horst is a simplification of the family name Brunkhorst, and it reflects what Connor builds toward: clean, purposeful, effective design. Away from the job, he's a husband and a father of five.
